This chain saw is a serious bit of kit! It makes short work of quite large branches and smaller tree trunks (my largest was about 7" diameter). The batteries last for ages - about 2 hours of continual working - two batteries mean no waiting around. The batteries are simple to replace and charge. But I can't stress enough just how good the saw is - I've used it for about 10-12 hours and the chain is just as sharp as new. I had to adjust the chain twice - after about 4 hours use - but the adjustment is so easy: just loosen the two nuts using the wrench supplied and turn the adjustment knob clockwise then tighten up again - simple. I haven't had to add any more lubricating oil since the first day. I have used it in some quite tight spaces to get low down to the base of tree trunks. The ability to use it single handed allows better access. It comes with a replacement chain and that looks so easy to fit that it doesn't daunt me at all (this is my first chain saw). There is also a tool for sharpening the teeth but I'm not sure at all about taking that on. The instructions aren't that good but they don't have to be - there's not a lot to work out!
